SALK INSTITUTE

The Salk Institute architecture was breathe taking. It had an air of peace and senerity. We learned a bit of the scientist who discovered  the polio vaccine. The tour of site was enjoyable. We watched the sunset since the institute overlooks the water. In - house women scientist recently won an breakthrough award of 3 million dollars presented by FB and other social media platforms. Loue Con and Loue Vanunu are the architects. Vanunu was an Mexican visionary for the building modernist, and bright/contrasting colors. No signage to encourage people to be inquisitive, and engage with each other. Best plant biology team in the world. Discovered ideal plant, feed population, root system longer, clean environment, breed plants together ie. Apples & orange. Max, art director at SALK was the tour guide since he runs graphic design dept. His advice: Get experience from many different industries.
